Mae Eos – Yr Asiantaeth Hawliau Darlledu yn sefydlu elusen o’r enw Cronfa Nawdd Eos fydd yn cynnig nawdd er budd y diwydiant cerddorol Gymraeg. Bydd y gronfa yn agored i geisiadau gan artistiaid, cyfansoddwyr, hyrwyddwyr neu unrhyw un sy’n gwneud bywoliaeth yn llawn neu yn rhan amser drwy gerddoriaeth Cymraeg neu berfformio mewn cynyrchiadau Cymraeg.

Mae’r gronfa yn cynnig pecynnau nawdd o isafswm o £500 hyd uchafswm o £2000 ar gyfer hyd at 70% o gostau unrhyw gynllun neu offer. Yna bydd panel cwbl ddiduedd, wedi ei benodi gan Fwrdd Eos, yn penderfynu ar y ceisiadau o fewn 4 wythnos i’r dyddiad cau.

Meddai Dafydd Roberts ar ran Bwrdd Eos, “Y bwriad yw ceisio cynorthwyo’r diwydiant cerddorol Gymraeg drwy gynnig nawdd mewn ffordd syml a didrafferth, a heb y rhwystrau arferol. Gan mai arian preifat yw’r gronfa, bydd modd ei ddefnyddio hefyd fel arian cyfatebol mewn unrhyw gais addas arall.”

Gall y cais fod ar gyfer unrhyw gynllun sydd er budd y diwydiant cerddorol Gymraeg, e.e. tuag at gostau trefnu cyngerdd(au) neu ddigwyddiad(au); offer cerdd (gan gynnwys offerynnau neu offer trydanol); creu, cyfansoddi neu recordio cerddoriaeth, creu cwmni recordio/label cofrestredig, hyrwyddo cynnyrch, marchnata, hysbysebu a.y.b. Gall y nawdd hefyd fod ar gyfer cyfraniad arian preifat fel ‘match funding’ i gais arall sydd hefyd er budd y diwydiant cerddorol Gymraeg. Y dyddiad cau ar gyfer y rownd gyntaf o geisiadau fydd Medi 30ain 2019, a bydd Cronfa Nawdd Eos yn derbyn ceisiadau dwywaith y flwyddyn, sef erbyn Mawrth 31ain a Medi 30ain.

Eos – The Broadcasting Rights Agency is establishing a charity called Cronfa Nawdd Eos (The Eos Grant Fund), which will offer grants for the benefit of the Welsh music industry. The fund will be open to applications from artists, composers, promoters or anyone who earns a living, either full time or part-time through Welsh music or performance in Welsh productions.

The fund will offer grant packages from a minimum of £500 to a maximum of £2000 for up to 70% of the cost of the project or equipment. An independent panel, appointed by the Eos Board, will then decide which applications have been successful within 4 weeks of the closing date. The application forms will be available at the beginning of September.

Dafydd Roberts, on behalf of the Eos Board, said, “The intention is to support the Welsh music industry by offering a grant in as simple a way as possible without the usual obstacles. As the grant is classed as a source of private revenue, it can also be used as matched funding as part of another appropriate grant application.”

The applications can be for any project that benefits the Welsh music industry, e.g. towards the costs of organising concerts, or events; music equipment (instruments or amplifiers etc.); creating or composing music; recording music or creating a recording company/label; promotion, marketing, advertising etc. The grant can also be used as private matched funding for another application that benefits the Welsh music industry. The closing date for the first applications will be September 30th 2019, and further applications will be accepted twice a year, by March 31st and September 30th.
