Serving the music industry
in Wales since 2012
Eos is collection society that strives for fair broadcast and television royalties for writers, composers and publishers in Wales.
Membership
Eos is a body that collects and distributes music royalties in Wales. It is specifically responsible for the broadcasting rights to your work.
Broadcasting rights give organisations like BBC and S4C the legal right to publicly broadcast your musical works.
What Does Eos Do?
Eos manages and licenses the use of music for broadcasting purposes. Other royalties—such as those from live performances, concerts, online use, and international royalties—will continue to be licensed and distributed by PRS, as before.
Each year, broadcasters pay a licence fee to Eos for the right to use the works of its members. This licence fee is then distributed among Eos members based on usage of their works.
Eos is a not for profit organisation. To cover the costs of running its operations, Eos currently takes a 20% commission from each licence fee.
